The best sport I've done ever...

I think that the best sport which was invented by human is cycling. If you don't share my opinion please read the following article. I hope it helps you to change your point of view.
At the beginning of this short article I would like to show a piece of bikes' history. Bikes were invented by Germany's Baron von Drais in 1817. The first one was almost completely made of wood and it didn't have pedals - if you wanted to move, you had to use your legs. The speed record for this bicycle was 15km/h. The first bike with pedals was created in 1865 and it was known as velocipede ("fast foot"). In 1870 the first all metal machine appeared. It was very strang because it had two different wheels: one was very large and the second very little, so cycling on it was so dangerous. The first "modern" bike was produced by Yale in 1898.
Why was invention of bike so important for many people? I think there is a lot of reasons. First of all is that bikes give people the possibility to move from one place to another without using cars. These days, where price of petrol is still growing up, it is very important. In addition to this cycling is enviromentally friendly. The second main reason is that almost every is able to ride a bike, because it isn't too hard to learn. Of course riding a bike doesn't depend on your age - cycling is for old people and for very young as well. This is also a great way to spend your free time, because you can see something new and be in a place you've never been before instead of watching TV or playing computer games.
What about an equipment? It seems to be obvious that if you want to ride a bike you have to have a bike. Many people think that bikes are very expensive and they can't afford to them. I agree with them, but I want to add one small thing. Professional bikes that are made of very weightless materials are very expensive (e.g. they cost as much as a middle class cars). But an amateur bike costs about 200-300PLN. I think it is not so much money, because if you have to go to your work by bus, a bike costs less money than you have to spend on bus tickets per month. And of course riding a bike can help you to be more healthy.
To summarize this short article I'd like to encourage you to using a bike as the main way to move from one place to another, because it makes your life more interesting and more healthier. And you can meet very interesting people....

Things I like the most...

Since I can remember I have interested in old castles. They are very beautiful. You can be in a place where a lot of people fought and died long time ago, some kind of a cementary of history.
Today I have been near the castle which there is in the center of Rzeszow. Results of this journey you can see on the attached slideshow.

Mrs Wladzia's house :)

There are many places that I love to be in. Some of them are connected with my childhood, another with my parents, etc. Nearly since I started worked at Soft System in Rzeszow I have lived at Mrs. Wladzia's home. Mentioned Mrs. Wladzia is really open and friendful person who lives with her two daughters in a relitively big house at Mazowiecka street. This house has 5 rooms, 2 bathrooms and kitchen. It's very nice. I live on the first floor. Near my room the is my own bathroom with washing machine and shower. My room isn't so big but it's enough for me, because I don't like big things. When I look through my window I can see some beautriful garder which connects my home with the the Mazowiecka street. I like it very much...

Home, sweet home:)

I always look forward to going my parent's home despite the fact the distance is about 130 km. It gives me possibility to take some rest, talk to my dear Mother and meet with my Sister and her family. I don't understand people that are studying and don't want to go back to their homes. I know that every student is very happy because he is alone and he can do everything he wants to. When I started studying I didn't want to be alone, I didn't want to drink alcohol, go to parties etc. I wanted to learn as much as I can. But todays people are different from me. I had a goal and I wanted to achieve it. This goal was to be a scientist, but life hasn't given me it :(

I don't like cities with big buildings...

They are bad-looking and you don't know where you are exactly. When you want to find something important to you, you have to ask other people for help.Yesterday I was in Wroclaw. This is a kind of these cities. Everything is very hight, roads are very bad and lights on the crossroads change too fast. In addiction to this, 1 meter of flat costs about 7000 PLN !!! It is some stupid thing to think about living there. It's so stupid... But living in Krakow could be very fine...:)

Somebody's wedding :)

I don't like weddings. They are so boring. Everybody drinks alcohol and sings stupid songs. But sometimes I have to go there and look at these people... I know that I am able to make some new friends at this type of party but it doesn't matter... Weddings are not interesting for me...

How to make your life better....

Unhealthy food from the McDonald's restaurants, too much cups of coffee, sitting lifestyle... how many people can describe their way of life using those words. How often have you tried to change your lifestyle and nothing happened? How often did you think “I can't do it” or “It is too difficult for me”? Read the following story of John Smith – a person whose life was very similar to the one described above.

My name is John Smith and I am an IT specialist for about 15 years. My earlier life was very similar to the typical American's life. I used to wake up at about 7 o'clock every day and eat very fatty breakfast. As far as I remember my parents told me to eat as much fatty things as possible for breakfast, because it gives me more energy to deal with everyday problems. After breakfast I used to go to a bus stop to catch a bus to work. I had a nine-to-five work but at about 10 o'clock I was getting hungry. Then I usually ate a pizza or some French fries. At about 2 o'clock I used to go to the local bar to buy two or three candy bars. The machine with candy bars was on the first floor and sometimes my coworkers looked at me and laughed, because while they went upstairs I had to use a lift. After 5 o'clock I used to go to a bus stop to catch a bus to home. I used to spend evenings sitting in front of the TV and watching films.

One day my life was changed. I woke up and ate some breakfast as usual. When I went out of my house I saw that a bus had already been at the bus stop. I wanted to start running but my body did not allow me to do it. I made only a few steps and I felt exhausted. The bus started going and I started to run again, but the result was the same. At the end I phoned a taxi. When I was going to my work by the taxi I felt terrible.

Since that time I have changed my way of life. I started to eat fruits and vegetables instead of fatty breakfast. In the beginning it was really difficult for me, because my body wanted me to eat fat food. I was not able to work that day because I had day-dreaming about a big pizza. For dinner I had a small piece of meat and a lot of vegetables. It did not taste good, but achieving my goal was more important than it. After work I did not take a bus to go home - I went there on foot. When I was in my house I felt very tired. That day I also joined a gym. It was a very hard day for me but at the end of it I was very satisfied. In the next days I did the same things and after two weeks I felt better than I had felt for years. I was able to run as fast as when I was a teenager. I also started playing tennis and cycling.

Today I am a member of the local basketball team. I go to a swimming pool twice a week and run every morning. My colleagues look at me in disbelief, because I am always on the third floor before they are without using a lift. I have done it so you can do it also!

The short story:)

  • “We are going to do some sightseeing this evening” - said Sally to Jack. “Why don't you go with

us” - she asked.

  • “I can't” - Jack answered. “I have to stay with Hilary. She has felt bad since she got up”

  • “I know. I saw her this morning” - said Sally.

It was 8 p. pm. When Sally and Tom got a few bottles of water into their rucksacks and started walking along the narrow country lane. After some time when they were walking and talking

suddenly Tom stopped.

  • “Sally, look there” - he said and ran under one of the biggest trees in the rainforest.

Sally followed him in hurry. When she was close to him she saw a small gold cup in the grass. Tom picked it up.

  • “I have seen it before” - he said.

  • “Where did you see it, Tom?” - Sally asked.

  • “I don't remember” - he answered silently and sat on the grass.

Sally sat next to him. They were sitting and looking at the cup when lightening flashed across the sky, followed by the crash of thunder. Suddenly Tom looked at the Sally's face and whispered:

  • “I know, Sally. Do you remember uncle Joe? Do you remember the book which he gave me before he died?”.

  • “Yes, Tom. It was the book called 'True story of the Holy...'” - she said and looked at the cup.

  • “...Holy Grail” - she whispered.

  • “We must say Jack and Hilary about it” - said Tom and put the gold cup into his rucksack.

When they were walking to their house they heard some strange noises behind them. When they

looked in that side they saw an old man. He stood in the distance and looked at them.

  • “Give me the cup” - he shouted and started moving to them.

They were looking at the man when Tom suddenly said:

  • “Look at his eyes. They are red”.

By the time Sally looked at the man Tom had taken her hand and they started running.

  • “Give me the cup” - the old man shouted once again. “It is mine”.

It was raining when they stopped for rest. There was nobody behind them. Tom looked around and realised that they had lost his way back to the village.

  • “Could you give me your mobile phone?” - said Tom to Sally.

  • “I don't have it” - she answered - “It was charging when we set off”.

  • “Blast” - he said angrily .

Up ahead in the distance he saw a big cave.

  • “Go there” - he said.

They went into the cave. It was cold and wet, but in that situation it was the best place for them. Sally sat on the ground and started crying.

  • “We will die” - she said.

Tom came close to her and hugged her.

  • “Don't worry. Everything will be OK” - he said. “Everything must be OK” - he thought, but he

didn't believe it at all.

The wind was howling outside when they were sitting next to the fire. Suddenly they heard horrible noise.

  • “What was it?” - asked Sally with fear.

Tom stood up and went next to the to the cave. When he was looking around he saw a wolf. He was looking at him. His eyes were red. When they were looking at each other the wolf started growing. By the time Tom realised what was happened, the old man had appeared in front of him. Tom felt a chill run down his spine.

  • “Give me a cup” - the old man said to Tom.

Tom pop up his rucksack and gave it him without saying anything.

  • “Tom, what are you doing?” - he heard suddenly.

He turned back and saw Sally and Jack. There were in from of the guest house which they had rented the day before.

  • “This is a werewolf” - said to and looked at the old man, but there was nobody in from of him.

  • “Werewolf?” - said Jack and started laughing - “Don't talk baloney. Werewolves are only in the horror stories”.

  • “I told you Tom not to use so many drugs on the party” - said Sally. Everybody started laughing.

  • “Go to the bed and take a nap” - said Jack - “I'm going to find a chemist's shop. I must buy some medicaments for Hilary”.

  • “I'll go with you, Tom” - said Sally and they went into the house.

Jack got in his car. When he was starting his car engine he looked on the rear-view mirror.

- “Werewolves are only in the horror stories, Jack” - he said. His eyes were red...
