“We are going to do some sightseeing this evening” - said Sally to Jack. “Why don't you go with
us” - she asked.
“I can't” - Jack answered. “I have to stay with Hilary. She has felt bad since she got up”
“I know. I saw her this morning” - said Sally.
It was 8 p. pm. When Sally and Tom got a few bottles of water into their rucksacks and started walking along the narrow country lane. After some time when they were walking and talking
suddenly Tom stopped.
“Sally, look there” - he said and ran under one of the biggest trees in the rainforest.
Sally followed him in hurry. When she was close to him she saw a small gold cup in the grass. Tom picked it up.
“I have seen it before” - he said.
“Where did you see it, Tom?” - Sally asked.
“I don't remember” - he answered silently and sat on the grass.
Sally sat next to him. They were sitting and looking at the cup when lightening flashed across the sky, followed by the crash of thunder. Suddenly Tom looked at the Sally's face and whispered:
“I know, Sally. Do you remember uncle Joe? Do you remember the book which he gave me before he died?”.
“Yes, Tom. It was the book called 'True story of the Holy...'” - she said and looked at the cup.
“...Holy Grail” - she whispered.
“We must say Jack and Hilary about it” - said Tom and put the gold cup into his rucksack.
When they were walking to their house they heard some strange noises behind them. When they
looked in that side they saw an old man. He stood in the distance and looked at them.
“Give me the cup” - he shouted and started moving to them.
They were looking at the man when Tom suddenly said:
“Look at his eyes. They are red”.
By the time Sally looked at the man Tom had taken her hand and they started running.
“Give me the cup” - the old man shouted once again. “It is mine”.
It was raining when they stopped for rest. There was nobody behind them. Tom looked around and realised that they had lost his way back to the village.
“Could you give me your mobile phone?” - said Tom to Sally.
“I don't have it” - she answered - “It was charging when we set off”.
“Blast” - he said angrily .
Up ahead in the distance he saw a big cave.
“Go there” - he said.
They went into the cave. It was cold and wet, but in that situation it was the best place for them. Sally sat on the ground and started crying.
“We will die” - she said.
Tom came close to her and hugged her.
“Don't worry. Everything will be OK” - he said. “Everything must be OK” - he thought, but he
didn't believe it at all.
The wind was howling outside when they were sitting next to the fire. Suddenly they heard horrible noise.
“What was it?” - asked Sally with fear.
Tom stood up and went next to the to the cave. When he was looking around he saw a wolf. He was looking at him. His eyes were red. When they were looking at each other the wolf started growing. By the time Tom realised what was happened, the old man had appeared in front of him. Tom felt a chill run down his spine.
“Give me a cup” - the old man said to Tom.
Tom pop up his rucksack and gave it him without saying anything.
“Tom, what are you doing?” - he heard suddenly.
He turned back and saw Sally and Jack. There were in from of the guest house which they had rented the day before.
“This is a werewolf” - said to and looked at the old man, but there was nobody in from of him.
“Werewolf?” - said Jack and started laughing - “Don't talk baloney. Werewolves are only in the horror stories”.
“I told you Tom not to use so many drugs on the party” - said Sally. Everybody started laughing.
“Go to the bed and take a nap” - said Jack - “I'm going to find a chemist's shop. I must buy some medicaments for Hilary”.
“I'll go with you, Tom” - said Sally and they went into the house.
Jack got in his car. When he was starting his car engine he looked on the rear-view mirror.
- “Werewolves are only in the horror stories, Jack” - he said. His eyes were red...
